I see him on his driveway as I run down the street. He stops dribbling his basketball. “Where ya going?” He yells. I have to turn away. I put my head down and keep running. I can’t bear to look at him. With the cold air surrounding me, my heart has frozen over. I fear if I look at him, my crystallised heart will shatter into a pile of broken metal.
